There are three main methods that I work with.
1. Read OBD port (Diagnostic Box).
The safest and most secure method for data extraction. The file is downloaded through the diagnostic box. Djigittuning utilizes professional equipment for OBD chip tuning, including flashers for all car brands manufactured since 2000. 2. BDM method (includes demounting the computer and reprogramming the unit).
In the BDM and BootMode methods, the computer (ECU) is physically extracted to be reprogrammed. For this purpose, specialized stands and adapters are used. With their help, the tuner connects to the necessary pins and downloads the required tuning data.
3. Chip Swap (removal and installation of a chip modified by our software) – a method for older cars.
Djigittuning can provide you with a tune for older cars (before 2000). The reprogramming of the software for such models usually involves removing the chips with the necessary tuning data. With the help of a professional chip tuning programmer, the file is extracted and modified. Finally, the chips are then soldered back onto the board.
